Storytelling and filmmaking has always been my passion.  Even before high school I was making short films and animations, and that passion carried on through college into today.

After graduating college and a short stint in L.A. I returned to Texas and made Austin my home.  It is here that I have cultivated and become a member of the artistic and film community.  My best friends and colleagues are here and I am continually meeting new people to collaborate and make art.

I created Starveling Productions this past October to make and tell amazing stories in the visual medium of film as well as strengthen my bonds here in Austin.  It is from this company that I work on commercial videos, independent film & video projects, as well as my own personal film projects.

The name Starveling is a reference to the character Robin Starveling in Shakespeare’s "A Midsummer Night's Dream". Starveling, a Tailor and member of the rude mechanicals, performs the role of moonshine in the play Pyramus & Thisbe to entertain King Theseus and Hippolyta on their wedding night. This is where the moon image in the Starveling logo is derived. I developed an affinity for "A Midsummer Night's Dream, and Robin Starveling when I played the role in my University's production of the play.

A Midsummer Night’s Dream is for me magical, comical, and at the same time speaks to universal truths of humanity and love. Characteristics that I hope all of the projects of Starveling Productions will contain to some degree or another.   Robin Starveling for me represents the inner artist within us all who is a little nervous and awkward, but in the end is able to create a piece of art to be proud of.
